Intro: NorthFleet Admin & Accounting wasn’t built by accountants who read about trucking in a textbook. It was built by people who lived it — who know what it’s like to chase loads, manage drivers, file IFTA at midnight, and wonder at the end of the month where all the money went.
Our Story:
It started in a family business. Since 2004, our founder spent over a decade learning bookkeeping, tax filing, and government compliance the real way — side by side with an experienced bookkeeper and CPA, handling the books for an actual operating business.
In 2015, a pile of papers landed on the desk. A trucking company needed to go from owner-operator to its own authority — DOT, MC, cross-border permits, IFTA, the whole setup. That first time was a learning curve. Every time after that was easy.
For years, everything ran through one person — dispatching, billing, IFTA filing, GST/HST, government compliance, carrier setup. Not as a side task. As the entire job. That’s where the deep understanding of trucking administration came from — not a course, but years of doing it for a real operation.
Our bookkeeping partner holds a bookkeeping certificate from Sault College and brings the kind of attention to detail that makes a real difference when it comes to your numbers. More importantly, he’s been a business owner himself — so he understands what it means to need accurate financial information to make decisions, not just numbers on a page for tax season.
